Read this. Take your time.

WASHINGTON — President Trump launched a vengeful tirade against conservatives in his own party on Thursday in an attempt to kick-start health care talks and show that he remains a force to be feared in the looming battles over the budget, a tax overhaul and infrastructure.

In an early morning Twitter attack, Mr. Trump singled out members of the House Freedom Caucus, which scuttled his health care overhaul last week. “The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don’t get on the team, & fast,” he wrote. “We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!”

He continued on Twitter throughout the day, naming individual members of the caucus, likening them to Democrats and urging other Republicans to “fight them” in the 2018 midterm elections if they do not back his agenda.

And don't forget to turn on your VPN. Thanks, Donny.

Within days of Congress repealing online privacy protections, Verizon has announced new plans to install software on customers’ devices to track what apps customers have downloaded. With this spyware, Verizon will be able to sell ads to you across the Internet based on things like which bank you use and whether you’ve downloaded a fertility app.

Verizon’s use of “AppFlash”—an app launcher and web search utility that Verizon will be rolling out to their subscribers’ Android devices “in the coming weeks”—is just the latest display of wireless carriers’ stunning willingness to compromise the security and privacy of their customers by installing spyware on end devices.

The AppFlash Privacy Policy published by Verizon states that the app can be used to

“collect information about your device and your use of the AppFlash services. This information includes your mobile number, device identifiers, device type and operating system, and information about the AppFlash features and services you use and your interactions with them. We also access information about the list of apps you have on your device.”

Troubling as it may be to collect intimate details about what apps you have installed, the policy also illustrates Verizon’s intent to gather location and contact information:

“AppFlash also collects information about your device’s precise location from your device operating system as well as contact information you store on your device.”

And what will Verizon use all of this information for? Why, targeted advertising on third-party websites, of course:

“AppFlash information may be shared within the Verizon family of companies, including companies like AOL who may use it to help provide more relevant advertising within the AppFlash experiences and in other places, including non-Verizon sites, services and devices.”

In other words, our prediction that mobile Internet providers would start installing spyware on their customers’ phones has come true, less than 48 hours after Congress sold out your personal data to companies like Comcast and AT&T. With the announcement of AppFlash, Verizon has made clear that it intends to start monetizing its customers’ private data as soon as possible.

AppFlash will soon have competitors who will provide consumers with either a means of countermeasure or an AppFlash free alternative to Android altogether. It is the president's way of signalling to Americans that the government can not and should not protect us from all dangers on the internet any more than the local police department can protect us from all dangers all the time outside our homes. Your protection means being aware of what is going on around you.

Smaller government. Fewer regulations all around. More competition.

What do you think AppFlash will do that Google does not do already???

from..."Verizon to begin installing a new piece of search-based bloatware on Android phones"
http://www.pcworld.com/article/3186754/ ... .html#jump
Search Impact: No one’s asking for yet another way to search on our phones. We already have the Google widget, search app, Chrome, and Gboard, so Verizon’s interest here probably isn’t in providing a better experience for its customers. You need look no further than the AppFlash Privacy Policy on Verizon’s website to get the truth: "We collect information about your device and your use of the AppFlash services … (including) your mobile number, device identifiers, device type and operating system, and information about the AppFlash features and services you use and your interactions with them.” And if that’s not enough, it will also mine data “about the list of apps you have on your device.” Thankfully, it also says that user will be able to “control whether AppFlash collects location and contact information about your device using settings available on your device.”
There also seems to be a way to opt out (in part) if that is what you want.

He didn't write the legislation.

This is how consistency in principle gets spun into something negative. If President Trump had opposed this bill the swamp creatures would have accused him of flip flopping.

If you’re operating under the assumption or strong suspicion that Americans working with Trump were engaged in improper communications with Russia, then the unmasking requests look a lot like due diligence. Also, if you have a baseline level of trust for the Obama administration, then it’s easy to imagine that unmasking was necessary or important for context even if conversations didn’t directly pertain to Russia but instead to other issues of “foreign intelligence value.”

In such circumstances, unmasking looks a lot less pernicious. However, if you’re operating under the assumption or strong suspicion that claims of Trump campaign collusion with Russia represent nothing more than malicious conspiracy theories, then the news takes on a much darker hue. Also, many others (like me) look at the Obama administration’s well-documented record of falsehoods and surveillance abuses and have a trust level for Susan Rice that hovers somewhere near zero.

In this circumstance, unmasking looks a lot less like due diligence, and a lot more like an abuse of power. Unfortunately, we don’t yet know enough about the documents to make any real judgments about Rice’s conduct.
Noise. Diversion from real news. News you can lose. The right treats Obama, his admin, and HC like old bones; can't let them go, but more useless by the day.

Pence, hat in hand, trying to appease the so called freedom c with more tweaks. These guys didn't read the bill either, a Pelosi like mistake. Unbelievable.

OK, stop it...

Here is a shorthand version of that which we now face...

Capitalism CREATES wealth...
Socialists/progressives tax and spend that wealth... ( cuz they do not produce ) All they do is run your life...

See Venezuela where there is no capitalism... There is also no toilet paper or band aids... Get it??
They ran out of producers but not taxers/spenders...

Now just to get closer to your idol government we see that the top 1% of China practices capitalism while the bottom 99% practice your communism...
Remind you of pocahauntus?? Goes around warning you about people like her...

Get it??

If there is no Trump then who will produce the money, your printing press?? The gimmy taxers/progressives do not produce...

So sit down and shut up!!!
First it was the CHURCH, then the FAMILY, and now the NATION...

Taxes are great when they go to send guys abroad to fight your battles and keep your cute little self "safe," or fill pot holes or build bridges...

Not so much when they go to Head Start or public library funding...that's evil government promoting socialism or worse..

Course you're so in the Trump septic tank your senses quit and you can only say one thing, pull the string and say hail trump, the King of capitalism, ignoring the majority of us who grind it out day by day, without a million dollar stake from old pops...

Sorry to say it, but those are going the way of the dodo bird. Not a lot of use for the traditional library any more, not the the extent there used to be.

We don't use hitching posts anymore either. Many people use their cell phone as their primary line.

Yeah, you can get DVD's there now and download audiobooks.

I don't think as many people go there now, certainly not children working on reports. Maybe older people still go, but I think children are growing up with little need to visit the library.

Summer reading. Story times. Art contests. Concerts. Book club kits. 3d printing. STEM kits. Mobile hot spots and iPads for borrowing. Museum passes. Speakers. Movie nights. Tutoring sessions. Meeting room usage by community groups is off the charts.

Lots going on.

Maybe lots going on, but almost none of what you listed is related to the traditional definition of a library.

Mobile hotspots? Really? iPads? I guess they spare no expense and go with the most expensive option there. Easy to do with other people's money.

But you're fine with Trump and his little runs to FL. And the 54 billion more for the military. And the 20 billion for the wall we don't need. And the tax breaks for the elite in the recent health care bill.

Where he meets and plays golf with allies to broker deals. Very typical business on the golf course.

Contrast with bozo who played with Tiger. Of what possible value was that other than his own entertainment?

Trump now:
"Today's chemical attack in Syria against innocent people, including women and children, is reprehensible and cannot be ignored by the civilized world," Trump said in a statement. "These heinous actions by the Bashar al-Assad regime are a consequence of the past administration's weakness and irresolution."
Trump then:
And Trump didn't seem to want Obama to enforce the red line at the time, tweeting in 2013, "AGAIN, TO OUR VERY FOOLISH LEADER, DO NOT ATTACK SYRIA — IF YOU DO MANY VERY BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN & FROM THAT FIGHT THE U.S. GETS NOTHING!"
This guy is a gutless backstabber.

So Head Start doesn't work and libraries are useless. What do you base your opinions on? Have you checked out your local library or any library lately? Amazing things are going on and by the way, readership and lending books are going up, not down in spite of the new technologies. Make a visit to a Ventress and talk to the staff and patrons.

You don't need to buy a Verizon device either. If it's not a Verizon branded device, they can't install their crap on it.

Verizon and Sprint aren't the best places to bring unlocked devices, but T-Mobile and AT&T are great places to bring unlocked phones. No carrier crap on an unbranded (carrier-wise) phone.
