Yeah I am serious Earl. While I haven't hunted in a bunch of years I was once an avid hunter. I also am the owner of many long guns (never been a handgun guy) ranging from a classic 40's vintage Fox Sterlingworth 12 ga to several Remington pumps and a beautiful Ruger M77 Rem 7mm Mag deer rifle.

Right-wing nutcases taste like chicken (not that I would know...we gators don't typically get much chicken...but we do get the occasional right-wing nutcase).

This is really not a political thread. Time to Retire ease up. Bridges please dont play to this newer incarnation of Mugs on this side if we can avoid it. This is really a thread to keep up with Earl Jr's world. Please go back to the Non-Marshfield side with that stuff

Yes Carson I've been seeing lots of deer around here too. We heard some gunshots at @ midnight Sat night, from back in the woods. WTF would cause somebody to hunt in the dark?

About a month ago I finally saw a hunter and it was pretty interesting experience. Me and Lucky went out thru the woods to our bogs and a pickup truck drove right past us out there. I was thinking WTF, why would somebody drive back here. Then I see a guy jump out in full camo, an he went over to a pond. I don't mind hunters but we did walk the other way. By the time we were on the opposite side of the pond (huge bog) I was startled to hear BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM very loudly, and saw a bunch of ducks fly away. I don't think he got one, if he did he woulda had to wade out into the pond (luckily it's not deep). Since then I haven't seen any ducks in that pond LOL. It was interesting cuz I've never seen a hunter out there, but we hear the gunshots all the time, and I find spent shotgun shells all the time too. I think the overwhelming majority of hunters are straight shooters, but there always are bad apples (like the one in PA that Bridges linked to).

I've never fired a gun (or even had one in my hand), but a friend at work was telling me it's pretty fun to go to a range and blast off a bunch of bullets. Thinking about trying it maybe some day.

Well to my friends (and enemies) here on the Marshfield forum who I have bantered with over the years, I'm just asking for help as my family and I are struggling. It has never been so bad and being the right wing conservative guy that I am I have never asked for help like this before. We have been everywhere and have almost used every resource we can, I have even applied for work in Iraq and Afghanistan but if you can help it would be awesome or if you would like to talk to me please E-mail me at pineojr@gmail.com
Thank you, Earl
