My understanding is that tt was purchased through a grant from the Marshfield Educational Foundation.
Go Bruins!

If kids are coming to school stressed then shouldn't we be looking into what is causing it? Not covering over with purchasing a dog.
Then again, maybe it will be also trained as a drug sniffing dog.

If a student is that stressed they should be seeking professional mental health counseling!

It makes you wonder what this generation is going to turn into as adults.Past generations had the real worry of being drafted right into a war right out of high school.Imagine if you gave them a draft number???

Actually, maybe the military is the answer. Say when you get out of high school you need to serve at least 2 years in one of the branches of the military.
I am sure there are no safe zones there.

Right O, Eric, that's the answer. Conscript every kid into the military as soon as they graduate from high school. What is the matter with you?

I like dogs and cats and other animals. But, ya gotta wonder about this decision. Maybe we need a new position in the school department? Emotional Support/Keeper Of Mascots and Stuffed Animals. I'm guessing it will be a good job at a good wage - say $40K a year? Let's make part of the "Guidance" department a Safe Space.

I've been kinda impressed with much of what the MEF has done. Initially, you have to wonder what the motives are. For example - is someone trying to build or simply realize Political Capital through a "charitable/non-profit" organization?
Been known to happen. But - aren't dogs expensive? Always hearing about people spending 1, or 2 or 3 thousands dollars a year to keep a dog.
Why do so many officials FEAR and kowtow to the Marshfield Airport gang?

What is the source of their power? Does it involve some kind of unseemly enterprise? A government entity?

If I was the guidance counselor I might be worried about loosing my job to a dog.
Many factors with expense of dog....
How big dog is dictates food consumption.
Kind of breed that may have known health issues later life.
Going to vet can cost you a couple of bucks. Depends on vet and how much they charge.
Toys, having someone wash and clean up dog.
If the dog has a serious health issue or bad accident then your talking some serious money.
In the long run it's the love and loyalty the dog has for you and your family that's makes it worth while.

It appears that the 'handlers' are educated beyond their intelligence...

The following seems to cover the point:
Letter to Antifa from a Marine:

"If you are paid $25.00 an hour to show up to a rally to "counter" the other party using physical force and violence, you are not a "counter protestor." You are a mercenary.

There is no need for further debate on this. You were paid to attack someone you don't know for reasons that you couldn't care enough about to go there for free. You did your "job" and collected your check and your reimbursement of expenses. You're a mercenary.

Not a Patriot. Not a Social Justice Warrior. Not a Defender of Freedom or Liberty. Not an upholder of Truth or Justice. None of those things you claim to be. You are a mercenary.

And mercenaries are not lawful combatants and deserve whatever comes their way at the hands of the people they are attacking.

You have no 1st Amendment rights when you're a mercenary.

Doesn't matter what side you're on. Doesn't matter what cause you're showing up to disrupt. If you can't express yourself peacefully through diplomatic means, then you better be prepared to meet your maker at the hands of someone who is only barely keeping their own violent tendencies at bay through a massive exercise of self-control.

I know it sounds romantic to attend these rallies and get crap started with the other side. And when you're young and passionate, it's really easy to get whipped up into a frenzy of raw emotions. There is a reason why young people are preferred when it comes to warfare. They are easy to manipulate and control and set off.

But I'm telling you all this right now. You've got no idea what road you are starting down. Romance and idealism wears off really fast when you're laying in a pool of your own blood trying to stuff your intestines back into your torn abdomen.

I've been lucky enough to go forty-two years without having to put the skills I learned in the Marines to use. I continue to train and keep those skills up to date because I see the madness that is happening all across this country. I don't train to attack others like you do. I train to defend others from you. I'm not alone either.

There are thousands of men and women in this country who have seen war and death and don't want any more to do with it. They want to live in peace. They want to forget the things they've had to do in the service of their country. They want to raise their kids and have family BBQs and build tree houses and soap box derby cars and have tea parties.

They don't want the crap that you're selling.

You have the extremist left and the extremist right that are doing their best to get something started. To force us into a Civil War. Even in the 1860's, the violence between the North and South was nowhere near what we see today. Nowhere even close.

And yet we still had a war of ideology that consumed hundreds of thousands of lives.

All you young and naive kids on both sides of this equation who think that having a Civil War will advance your agenda or restore your vision of what you think is America, just remember this. . . Those of us older generations aren't having any of this [expletive]. And if you jump off, you better be prepared to deal with us. We don't care what color you're wearing or what sign you're holding if you come after us, our friends, our family, our co-workers, our neighbors, etc., we will kill you.

So remember that when you're thinking that it's just Left vs Right, or Liberal vs Conservative, or Commie vs. Fascist. We are the variable you're not considering.

That "Silent Majority" that you pretend does not exist is getting really sick and tired of your bullshit.

“How many flood victims in South Texas have been rescued by the Antifa navy? Just asking, because on TV this week I’ve been watching the “Cajun Navy” pull one Dunkirk after another all around the Gulf Coast. And those good old boys look like they just came off the set of “Duck Dynasty.” They could be wearing MAGA hats. Hell, I’ll bet one or two of them may have even been falsely accused of committing a fake hate crime or two since the election by some unhinged Social Justice Warrior.
They are, to coin a phrase, deplorable.

Hell, a Chick-fil-A franchise in Houston sent out a power boat to rescue a couple of elderly customers, which is exactly one more rescue boat than George Soros, Tom Steyer, Evergreen State, Black Lives Matter and moveon.org have dispatched, combined.

And the old folks didn’t even ask if Chick-fil-A’s CEO is still opposed to gay marriage.

Is Michael Moore hosting an All-U-Can-Eat buffet for first responders in Harris County? If he were, surely MSNBC would be covering it, live.
Where are Elizabeth Warren, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Bahr , Steven Colbert, etc. etc.?

Seriously, doesn’t it look like almost all of the heavy lifting in the wake of Harvey is being done by people who belong to what the Southern Poverty Law Center would describe as “hate groups?”

Speaking of which, when does the SPLC’s food drive begin?

Are the non-workers of the Socialist Workers Party and the Spartacist League loading any southbound 18-wheelers with relief supplies this weekend?

Maybe everyone in “the Resistance” is worn out from wearing pink hats and black masks and tipping over statues and sucker punching passersby with bicycle locks in Berkeley and grabbing an old lady’s flag on the Boston Common and burning it – all those wonderful manifestations of how Love Trumps Hate, as they say.

Of course, it’s the last weekend of summer, so you can’t expect the likes of Jeffrey Epstein to be scrambling his private 747 out of the Hamptons to airlift foodstuffs to Galveston and Beaumont. You can’t be asking Brooklyn hipsters or Occupy Wall Street to occupy a relief shelter when the Beautiful People are jetting into Nantucket for brunch at the Chanticleer Inn.

Besides, as assorted adjunct professors at third-rate colleges have been tweeting out all week, those are Trump voters stranded down there in the Lone Star State – bitter clingers and irredeemables.

Do we even know if the Salvation Army has transgender bathrooms at its shelter in Port Arthur?

It’s Labor Day and Jerry Lewis is gone, but maybe Colin Kaepernick could stage a Harvey telethon outside NFL headquarters on Park Avenue. Why should J.J. Watt and his white privilege have all the fun raising charitable donations?

Then there’s John Kerry– he did sell his second wife’s first husband’s trust fund’s yacht when he moved from Nantucket to the Vineyard, but he could still enlist in the Cajun Navy. America’s Gigolo has other plans this weekend, though according to The Hill, Liveshot is busy – “Kerry races to save American cycling team.”

Well, first things first.
“Kerry, an avid cyclist, has been working the phones to find new supporters for the team, Cannondale-Drapac, after one of its lead sponsors pulled its funding unexpectedly last week.”
Now there is a real tragedy.

How about the Clinton Foundation? They have more money than God, but if you go to their website, all it has is a list of links to other organizations. For flood relief, I guess it takes a village, but not the Clinton Foundation.

Hillary is about to begin her new book tour. It only costs $2400 per person to attend the Toronto fete. How about a charity book signing in Lafayette LA? Call it, “Harvey – What Happened?”

Al Gore’s new “documentary” is tanking. Maybe he should offer free showings to the volunteer Tea Party types trying to lend a hand.

Joel Osteen took a lot of grief this week, but his church is open. Has anyone seen La Raza? Which of his three mansions is Bernie Sanders opening for flood victims?

Victims of Hurricane Harvey, when the phone don’t ring, you’ll know it’s #resist.”

Try not to scare yourselves!!!
First it was the CHURCH, then the FAMILY, and now the NATION...

Right and let's talk about what NFL players are doing while American flood victims in Puerto Rico and US Virgin Island wait for food and water!
But don't stress,we'll get you a puppy!
